The organisers of the 2026 South African Junior Closed Chess Championship
invite all suitably qualified arbiters who wish to officiate at the
tournament to submit an application using the form below.
Closing date for applications: Wednesday 4 February at 12pm
Event dates: 28 March – 2 April
Format: 9 Round Individual Swiss
Venue: Kgaswane Country Lodge, Rustenburg, North West
Applicants must hold a valid title and be FIDE licensed and in good standing with the South African Chess Arbiters Association (AOC).
Arbiters must hold the title of Provincial Arbiter (PA) , Senior Arbiter (SA) , FIDE Arbiter (FA) or International Arbiter (IA).
Travel & Accommodation
Arbiters are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the venue. Arbiters will be accommodated and receive meals at the playing venue.

Remuneration
- Chief Arbiter: R900 per round
- Deputy Chief Arbiter: R750 per round
- Floor Arbiter: R550 per round
- Fair Play Official: R750 per round
