IA Gunther van den Bergh has been appointed Deputy Chief Arbiter of the Olympiad – a tremendous achievement and a testament to his experience, professionalism and standing as an international arbiter.
IA Ronald King has also been selected to serve as a Match Arbiter, representing South Africa on the international stage at one of the most prestigious events in the chess world.
The Chess Olympiad brings together the strongest chess nations and players from across the globe, making an appointment of this calibre a tremendous honour for any arbiter.
