The 2025 South Africa Open Chess Championships invites all qualified arbiters, who are interested in serving as Arbiters at the above-mentioned tournament, to complete the application form below. Closing date for applications is midnight 3 June 2025.
Date: 28 June – 5 July 2025
Venue: University of Johannesburg, Auckland Park Kingsway Campus
Rounds: Eleven (11)
Suitable applicants must be qualified as either International Arbiter (IA), FIDE Arbiter (FA), Senior Arbiter (SA) or Provincial Arbiter (PA).
Applicants are required to be FIDE licensed and paid-up members of the South African Chess Arbiters Association for 2025.
Accommodation: Own accommodation (no reimbursement)
Transport: Own transport. (no reimbursement)
Remunerations (per round):
- Chief Arbiter – R1000
- Deputy Chief Arbiter – R800
- Match Arbiter – R600
- FP Officer – R800
